ABOUT ESRA

Esra Kuş is a materials scientist, spiritual seeker, and writer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. With a background in engineering and a genuine interest in consciousness, she shares observations, reflections, and lived experiences from a perspective that bridges analytical thinking with spiritual inquiry. Her writing invites readers to reflect, heal, and explore the deeper layers of the human journey.

Esra’s life journey began in 1977 in Ankara. She grew up in a family that prepared her well for a lifelong journey of transformation. Her childhood and youth unfolded within a community vibrant with solidarity. Alongside her studies, she represented Türkiye in performances and festivals as a member of the TRT Folk Dance Ensemble. During her university years at Middle East Technical University, she studied Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and took part in the activities of the Underwater Society and the Triathlon Team.

Motivated by a desire to combine her profession with her love of the sea, she specialized in corrosion science, a path that eventually led her to the Pacific Coast. She completed her PhD at the University of Southern California, where her research focused on metal corrosion and the development of alternative energy sources. Beyond academic achievement, those years strengthened her capacity for critical thinking and deepened her ability to observe both systems and life with clarity.

Her years in Los Angeles taught her that, despite the illusions of capitalism, the essence of being human is universal, and that the joy found in nature and genuine friendships matters most, wherever one lives.

After completing her doctorate in 2006, she moved to San Francisco, a city she loved for its free-spirited atmosphere. There, she worked for an engineering consulting firm in Silicon Valley that specialized in failure analysis, encountering striking real-life examples of what she had once studied in theory. She performed tests and analyses on a wide range of materials, from car parts to medical implants.

Although she enjoyed applying her technical expertise across many projects, the competitive dynamics of corporate culture left her unfulfilled. In 2010, after leaving her job and traveling for a while, she settled in Istanbul, where she worked on renovation and restoration projects. Her years in Beyoğlu became an entirely new experience, one that allowed her to feel the power of transformation and helped her understand her country’s dynamics on a more intimate level.

Motherhood soon became the next chapter of transformation. Esra continued her practice of failure analysis, this time examining the hidden pressures and imposed values of the consumption-driven world. She saw how everything, from pesticides in food to digital overload, from competitive culture to isolating individualism, placed invisible burdens on all human beings. Profit-oriented dynamics were shaping every aspect of life, and changing jobs or cities offered no real solution. Even those who moved to the countryside found themselves disheartened, witnessing rivers drying up and forests turning to concrete.

If there was no way out, what could one do? Esra began to write, searching for meaning and answers to the questions that lingered in her mind. The more she wrote, the more the words flowed. Her first book, Madness Overrated, was independently published on Amazon in 2017, followed by its Turkish edition, Büyüme Oyunu. Over time, writing came to feel like a journey undertaken to help transform a system she could no longer adapt to, a journey that deepened as she began exploring spiritual realms.

During those years, through her training in Regression Therapy at Radianced School, she set sail into the depths of her soul. Discovering her past lives revealed that her existence extended far beyond the boundaries of this lifetime. Over time, she was drawn to teachings that illuminate the multilayered nature of human consciousness and energy fields. She researched, experienced, felt, and observed. As she gradually released the conditioned layers of her being, she moved closer to her essence. From wearing masks to revealing her truth, from seeking approval to sharing her authenticity, she continued to transform.

Her book The Story of My Soul: From Past Lives to Enlightenment, published in 2025, reflects this inner journey of awakening and self-realization. Today, Esra continues to write, evolve, and explore. She works with individuals who are navigating their own processes of inner change and integration through reflective conversation sessions. She believes that as we evolve individually, we inevitably transform the world, shaping a more conscious and compassionate future for all.
